So on I learned by the way more and more some (MIDI) coding. But finding the time for it was often a problem....
In the meantime, I wrote still some Atari editors, one for the first Rocktron Intellifex (blue one) and one for the programmable pre-amp the Pro Gap.
The Atari, with its build in Midiports was one of the most popular and used computers in those days for that goal.
Yes, beside all other things, I still own some Atari's, I love them.......I sold (fast) all stuff.....long ago....but I bought it again....Why....pure nostalgia. And now after years, I am still fascinated!
I am aware of the technical progress nowadays. But this is pure nostalgic for those who worked in the early days with Atari and still love their Atari beside their other up to date stuff!
Now, after more than 20 years, I found my programs, and I decided to put them on the Internet, because it seems to be that the GP8 and GP16 are still popular effects units with a well-known status and they become more and more a collector’s item. Further ATARI lives on..... and I want to contribute my programs, so someone who want to try them and likes them, can get use of it and play along with its GP8/GP16 and atari....just for fun...
The Roland GP16 editor was my last written program. It was written for all ST series. I screened the whole program and updated it for the Falcon. Though it seems stable to me, it could be that there are still some issues. So report it and I will fix it.
I have still to convert/translate the GP8 from Dutch into English. In the meantime I translated already the GP16 manual from Dutch into English as good as possible..
The English versions of the GP16 editor as well as the English manual can now be downloaded (for St and Falcon) ........
