I have got many questions how to run the MIDI editors in Windows (Vista, XP and Win7).
You can run the Roland editors in Windows by using the Atari emulator Steem.
On request I have made a little Steem environment (Atari emulator) for using (the) Midi editors in Microsoft Windows Vista, XP and Win7.
The Roland GP8 editor is pre installed.
Requirements: Windows and an installed Midi interface in Windows.
Brief install instruction:
Download the Steem zip file from the download area "Other Stuff" and install it by unzipping it in the root of C: so you get
Run steem.exe. If it doesn't start click above left on the yellow Arrow and in the Window that popped up.
If the emulator has shown up. Go to the configuration utility and choose under midi your midi interface.
For that you have to leave the editor window by pressing the "Pause / break" button on your keyboard.
Hope this will help !
